A wide world of comics

I really enjoyed reading comics from other countries, the storytelling is different and seems to be more of stories for adults or mature readers and a lot of sci-fi or political reads were shown. I read Metal Hurlant which was in Spanish and it interested me what was being told or shown in comics in latin countries, there was a lot of different styles shown that resembled the time and that you probably wouldn't see in American comics. In French comics there is a lot of dark humor within their comics as well as dark imagery or dark storytelling. Pandemonium being an example, very dark story with some horror within it, plus it was based on true events which makes it even more of a scary story. In Moebius' Black Incal, the story really drew you in, in it's action sci-fi thriller. The story was different from others and at first you don't really believe in the hero but as you keep reading you start to grow more for the main character as he himself is trying to be the hero. There is more thought to the villains and not just typical good guy, bad guy that's in many comics and there's more of a psychological dynamic within this comic that not many have which is what I like best from this work.
